Display rules control where your custom builders appear on your website. You can set builders to display across your entire site or on specific pages, posts, or sections.
Accessing Display Rules
Navigate to your WordPress dashboard and go to DigiFusion > Site Builder. Click on any existing builder or create a new one to access the display rules settings.
In the builder editor, locate the DigiFusion Builder Settings panel in the sidebar. The display rules section allows you to configure where your builder will appear.
Display Options
Entire Site
Select Entire Site to display your builder on every page across your website. This option is ideal for headers, footers, and global elements that should appear consistently.
Specific Pages
Choose Specific Pages to target particular areas of your website. This option opens additional settings for include and exclude rules.
Include Rules
Include rules define where your builder should appear. Click Add Include Rule to create targeting conditions.
Available Rule Types
Basic Pages:
- Homepage – targets your site’s front page
- Blog Page – targets your posts page
- Search Results – displays on search result pages
- 404 Page – shows on error pages
Post Types:
- Posts – targets individual blog posts
- Pages – targets static pages
- Custom Post Types – targets any custom post types you’ve created
Archives:
- Author Archives – displays on author profile pages
- Date Archives – shows on date-based archive pages
- Category Archives – targets category listing pages
- Tag Archives – displays on tag listing pages
Taxonomies:
- Specific Categories – target individual categories
- Specific Tags – target individual tags
- Custom Taxonomies – target custom taxonomy terms
Exclude Rules
Exclude rules prevent your builder from appearing in specified locations, even if include rules would normally display it there. This provides precise control over placement.
Click Add Exclude Rule and select from the same rule types available for include rules. Exclude rules always override include rules.
Rule Combinations
You can combine multiple include and exclude rules for precise targeting:
- Add multiple include rules to display on various page types
- Use exclude rules to remove the builder from specific pages within broader targeting
- Layer different rule types to create complex display logic
Publishing Changes
After configuring your display rules, click Update or Publish to save your settings. The builder will immediately start appearing based on your configured rules.
Changes to display rules take effect immediately on your live site. You can preview different pages to verify your builder appears in the correct locations.
