DigiFusion provides comprehensive menu functionality with support for both desktop and mobile navigation. The theme includes built-in menu locations, responsive design, and customization options to create professional navigation experiences.
Menu Locations
DigiFusion registers two primary menu locations that you can assign menus to:
Primary Menu
The primary menu appears in the header and serves as your main site navigation. This menu is prominently displayed and includes support for multi-level dropdown menus.
Footer Menu
The footer menu appears in the bottom section of your site and is typically used for secondary navigation links like privacy policy, terms of service, or additional site pages.
Creating Your First Menu
To create and assign menus in DigiFusion:
Step 1: Navigate to Appearance → Menus in your WordPress dashboard.
Step 2: Click “Create a new menu” and give your menu a descriptive name like “Main Navigation” or “Header Menu”.
Step 3: Add pages, posts, categories, or custom links to your menu by selecting them from the left panel and clicking “Add to Menu”.
Step 4: In the “Menu Settings” section at the bottom, check the box for “Primary Menu” to assign this menu to your header navigation.
Step 5: Click “Save Menu” to apply your changes.
Menu Structure and Organization
DigiFusion supports hierarchical menu structures with dropdown functionality:
Single Level Menus
Simple horizontal navigation where each menu item links directly to a page or section.
Multi-Level Dropdowns
Create dropdown menus by dragging menu items slightly to the right under a parent item. DigiFusion automatically handles the dropdown styling and functionality.
Menu Item Ordering
Drag and drop menu items to reorder them. The order in the menu editor reflects the order they’ll appear on your site.
Mobile Menu Functionality
DigiFusion includes responsive menu functionality that automatically adapts to mobile devices:
Automatic Mobile Detection
The theme detects screen size and switches to a mobile-friendly menu layout on smaller devices.
Hamburger Menu
On mobile devices, the menu transforms into a hamburger icon (three horizontal lines) that users can tap to reveal the navigation.
Touch-Friendly Design
Mobile menus include larger touch targets and smooth animations for better user experience.
