How to Create Pages and Posts in DigiFusion

Before diving into content creation, it’s important to understand the difference between pages and posts in WordPress when using the DigiFusion theme.

Posts are typically used for:

  • Blog articles and news updates
  • Time-sensitive content
  • Content that will be categorized and tagged
  • Content that appears in your blog feed

Pages are typically used for:

  • Static content like About, Contact, Services
  • Timeless information
  • Content that doesn’t need categories or tags
  • Landing pages and standalone content

Creating Your First Post

Posts in DigiFusion are designed to showcase your blog content with beautiful layouts and typography. Here’s how to create a new post:

Navigate to Posts Section

Go to Posts → Add New from your WordPress dashboard. This will open the WordPress editor where you can create your blog post.

Add Your Post Title

Click on the title field at the top of the editor and enter your post title.

Write Your Content

Use the WordPress block editor (Gutenberg) to add your content. DigiFusion supports all WordPress core blocks:

  • Paragraph blocks for your main content
  • Heading blocks for section titles
  • Image blocks for featured images and inline photos
  • Quote blocks for highlighting important text
  • List blocks for organized information

Set Featured Image

The featured image appears prominently in DigiFusion’s post layouts:

  1. Scroll down to the Featured Image section in the right sidebar
  2. Click Set featured image
  3. Upload a new image or select from your media library
  4. Choose an image that’s at least 1200px wide for best results

Configure Post Settings

Categories and Tags:

  • Add relevant categories to organize your posts
  • Use tags to help readers find related content
  • These appear in DigiFusion’s post metadata

Excerpt:

  • Write a custom excerpt in the Excerpt panel
  • This appears in post previews and archive pages
  • If left blank, DigiFusion will automatically generate one

Publish Your Post

When you’re ready to publish:

  1. Click Publish in the top-right corner
  2. Review your post settings
  3. Click Publish again to make your post live

Creating Your First Page

Pages in DigiFusion are perfect for creating static content with clean, professional layouts.

Navigate to Pages Section

Go to Pages → Add New from your WordPress dashboard to open the page editor.

Add Your Page Title

Enter your page title in the title field. This will appear as the main heading and in your site’s navigation if you add the page to menus.

Configure Page Attributes

In the Page Attributes panel, you can:

Set Parent Page:

  • Create page hierarchies by setting a parent page
  • This helps organize your site structure

Page Template:

  • Choose from available page templates

Page-Specific DigiFusion Settings

DigiFusion includes additional page settings that you can access in the editor sidebar:

Header Settings:

  • Header Type: Choose between minimal, standard, or transparent headers
  • Custom Logo: Upload a different logo for specific pages
  • Menu Colors: Customize navigation colors for this page

Page Header Settings:

  • Custom Page Title: Override the default page title
  • Page Description: Add descriptive text below the title
  • Disable Page Header: Hide the page header entirely

Layout Settings:

  • Disable Header: Remove the header for landing pages
  • Disable Footer: Create full-page experiences
  • Disable Padding: Remove default spacing for custom layouts

Publish Your Page

Once your page is ready:

  1. Click Publish to make the page live
  2. Add the page to your navigation menu if needed
