Building Custom Footers with Site Builder

The DigiFusion Site Builder allows you to create completely custom footers that replace the default theme footer. This gives you full control over your footer design, content, and functionality.

Creating a New Footer Builder

Navigate to DigiFusion > Site Builder in your WordPress admin dashboard and click Add New.

Enter a descriptive title for your footer builder, such as “Main Footer” or “Custom Footer Layout”.

In the Builder Settings panel on the right side, set the Builder Type to Footer.

Configuring Display Rules

Set your display rules to control where the footer appears:

Entire Site: The footer will display on all pages of your website.

Specific Pages: Choose specific pages, post types, or conditions where the footer should appear. You can include or exclude specific:

  • Individual pages or posts
  • Post types (posts, pages, products)
  • Archive pages (category, tag, author)
  • Template conditions (homepage, search results, 404 page)

Designing Your Footer

Use DigiBlocks or Elementor (if installed) to design your footer content. Common footer elements include:

Contact Information: Add your business address, phone number, and email using text blocks or custom HTML.

Navigation Menus: Insert navigation blocks and assign your footer menu from Appearance > Menus.

Social Media Links: Add social media icons linking to your profiles.

Copyright Text: Include copyright notices and legal information.

Widget Areas: Add subscription forms, recent posts, or custom content blocks.

Logo and Branding: Display your company logo or additional branding elements.

Publishing Your Footer

Once your design is complete, click Publish to make your custom footer live.

The custom footer will automatically replace the default theme footer based on your display rules.

Multiple Footer Variations

You can create multiple footer builders for different sections of your site:

  • Create a “Homepage Footer” that displays only on the front page
  • Design a “Shop Footer” specifically for WooCommerce pages
  • Build a “Blog Footer” for post archives and single posts

Set different display rules for each footer to control where they appear. The Site Builder will automatically use the most specific footer for each page.

Disabling the Default Footer

If you want to remove the footer entirely from specific pages, create a page, in DigiFusion > Page Settings, enable Disable Footer in the page meta options.

This is useful for landing pages or special layouts where you don’t want any footer content.
